Hello All,
I am currently a junior in college attending the University of Wisconsin Whitewater. My freshman year I was at the University of Milwaukee Wisconsin going for an International Business degree but soon found myself transferring schools after a year to be closer to home and save money on tuition. My goals for the next couple years are finishing school and eventually to travel abroad. I want to become more involved through clubs such as PRSSA, which I’m currently involved in, and raising money for the Special Olympics. I feel that with my free time as a college student I can be working and giving back to society at the same time. I hope to find more volunteer opportunities through PRSSA. Also, I would really like to go on as many agency tours and different types such as government and non-profit to see what options are available and see what types of public relations firms that are the most successful. I eventually would like to have an internship with a public relations firm in a big city or even overseas. I really enjoy the fashion or sports industries, which can go in very different ways. I would like the ability to work here in the United States and then travel abroad when need be for business. I want to have a successful career and husband before I settle down and have a family. That's all for now!
Sincerely,
Anna Fagerli
I think it's awesome that you want to study abroad, or even live/ work abroad! I like to travel, but I don't think I could move there, but I think it's awesome that you want to. Sounds great that you are helping raise money for the special olympics, that's really awesome.
ReplyDeleteAnna,
ReplyDeleteI transferred after my freshman year to UWW as well so I can definitely relate to you in that aspect as well as in the area of wanting to go abroad. Two years ago, I went to Florence, Italy and absolutely loved it. I would give anything to go back there, especially for an extended period of time. Any idea where you would like to go?
I just joined PRSSA this semester and am really enjoying it so far. I also hope to get more involved in the club and definitely agree with your philosophy on giving back to society.
You sound like you have a great future ahead of you with lots of exciting plans! Good luck! :)
Studying abroad would be great! I think you would really enjoy it. I was born and raised in Bosnia, traveled to Germany, Italy, Spain, Austria, Croatia and many different places over the USA and I absolutely love traveling and exploring different places.
ReplyDeleteWhat you are doing for the Special Olympics is great and shows a lot character.
Wish you all the best!
